The use of software to execute or coordinate repeatable steps in a business process.
Workflow automation connects triggers, rules, systems, and human decisions to reduce manual coordination. AI may handle variable inputs or language tasks inside an automated workflow, but deterministic controls are often preferable for predictable steps.
